Fabienne Raphael is an online business consultant, speaker, and podcaster. She helps experts transition from an unfulfilled corporate career to a thriving online business with her one on one coaching and online programs.
She has a background in radio and television hosting that allows her to conduct unique interviews on her top-ranked Marketing to Crush your Competitors podcast, where she has broadcasted over 280 episodes. Through the course of her career, She has even hosted her own TV show.
She has also shared the stage with John Lee Dumas, Chris Brogan, and Sue Zimmerman, and spoke at the last New Media Europe conference in London. In a few weeks, She will speak at the Orange Hat Summit in Montreal.
She has been featured in Forbes, Inc., ABC, NBC, and Huffington Post, just to name a few and has appeared on over 25 podcasts, such as CopyChief Radio and Entrepreneur on Fire. 1. Why did you choose business?

To have control over my schedule and live my life on my own terms.

2. What was your first business idea and what did you do with it?

Health Care Agency – it was a very successful business. We closed because hospitals stopped doing business with agencies over here.

3. How did you get started in current business/startup?

It was after a coaching call with my blogging coach. He suggested to start a podcast. That was the beginning of my real online journey.

4. What do you wish you knew before you started your first business?

MARKETING! Seriously. I had no clue about it. That is why I lost 10K doing business with a bad marketing agency at first. I should have known more about it, so I would have made a better decision.

5. How do you market your business? How are people aware of your business?

6. What is the strangest marketing experiment you ever did?

Strange? Can’t think of any…

7. Why do your customers select you over your competitors?

Most of people do business with me because of me! That’s always the answer that I get. I project confidence and positivity.

8. How do you motivate yourself?

By knowing exactly why I do what I do. Leave a great legacy to my children, and change people’s lives for the better.

9. What was the best piece of advice you ever got? The worst?

The Best: “Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.”
The Worst: “Start now. Even if you are not ready.”

10. What’s your best team management tips?

Always start with a trial period. See if you are a great fit. See if the values fit. See if the person delivers what will represent your brand as you want it to be represented.
